Can Antibiotics Cure Bv
Antibiotics doesn't work for my issue with bv. Is there another option to get rid of it for good? Is there really a cure?
Several approaches: Bv can be caused by several things. Try this under the guidance of a physician. Be abstinent. Limit the number of sex partners after treatment. Do not douche. Use all of the medicine prescribed for treatment of bv, even if the signs and symptoms go away. It seems you have tried the metronidazole. Perhaps have your physician switch to Clindamycin and give that a try. Eat as healthy as possible. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Have been on 4 different antibiotics for specific bacterias, now test shows I have bv, any natural cures i can try? I don't want anymore antibiotics.
Boric Acid?: For bacterial vaginosis i would recommend the standard treatment of oral or vaginal flagyl. Intravaginal boric acid 600 mg at bed time provides symptomatic relief. The frequency can be gradually decreased to once or twice a week. You could try a probiotic preparation such as vsl #3 with 110 billion colonies of probiotic bacteria per capsule, but this therapy is unproven. ...Read more

See your clinician for an appropriate prescription. ...Read more
How can I treat and cure bacterial vaginosis at home without antibiotics? I was diagnosed with BV and received antibiotics that i finished off, but i'm still experiencing severe pain and symptoms. I have no medical insurance and cannot afford to go back t
If : If you were diagnosed with BV and treated, but are still experiencing symptoms, then there is a good possibility that you have something else besides bv. Search you local yellow pages for low income or free clinics. There are usually free std clinics in every state. They can help you with this issue even if it's not an std. Unfortunately, there is not an at home cure i can suggest without knowing what we are dealing with, however i can tell you if you have any itching or white discharge an over the counter yeast infection cream may help. My final advice since you are in "severe" pain is to find a way to seek medical care. Best of luck to you. ...Read more

The "shotgun" approach to antibiotic use often misses the mark and worse compounds the available number of antibiotics for ultimate treatment. The CDC states "we are running out of meds." ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
