Can an ulcer cause a weird numbness in the arms and legs?

Can an ulcer cause a weird numbness in the arms and legs?

Not likely: If it is stomach ulcers you are referring to, this would be a very unusual complaint. I suppose if you had a severely bleeding ulcer or were profoundly anemic it could cause such symptoms but this would be atypical.

What causes numbness of the arms and legs?

What causes numbness of the arms and legs?

Many things: Carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common cause of numbness in the hand on the thumb side. Cubital tunnel syndrome causes little finger numbness. If both of the entire hands and feet are numb, then a peripheral neuropathy is more likely. This can be related to long standing diabetes. This problem needs to be worked up by a physician.

What would cause numbness and tingling n ur arms and legs?

What would cause numbness and tingling n ur arms and legs?

Many things: One thing is a peripheral neuropathy, but that usually starts in the feet, later gets into the fingers. It's not really arms and legs, but more a "feet then hands" kind of thing. Certain meds can do it, too. Discuss with your doc if persistent and/or worsening.

Multiple: There are multiple causes of numbness in extremities some peripheral like peripheral neuropathy and some central in the brain, , some medication can cause that an example is topamax (topiramate). Also anxiety can be associated with numbness. It is best if you make an appointment with your physician and get evaluated, feel better.

Can a slipped disc in neck cause numbness in my face, arms, and legs as well as leg weakness and altered gait and trouble walking?

Can a slipped disc in neck cause numbness in my face, arms, and legs as well as leg weakness and altered gait and trouble walking?

See a physician: This sounds like something that needs to be looked at. You don't get facial numbness from a slipped disc or a herniated disc. Unlikely that symptoms would include the arms and legs as well as altered gait to the point of having trouble walking. This should be evaluated very soon by a physician.

I keep having numbness and tingling in my arms and legs. I've been tested for m.S. And it came back negative. Any other thoughts?

Numbness: Are you anxious are feeling a lot of stress. The most common cause of numbness of hands and feet is anxiety with or without hyperventilation. Hyperventilation, repeated deep breaths, can occur in some people who just sigh a lot. If the numbness or tingling is constant and progressive, you need to see a doctor to evaluate for spinal cord or peripheral nerve problems (rare).

Is there a reason why I lose/cut circulation in arms and legs really very fast? Have to change positions quickly bc can feel numbness coming on

Is there a reason why I lose/cut circulation in arms and legs really very fast? Have to change positions quickly bc can feel numbness coming on

Circulation: Numbness is not necessarily the result of poor circulation. It's unusual to have circulation problems involving both arms and legs unless you have some sort of systemic vascular disease such as vasculitis which is quite rare. Numbness can occur after assuming body posture that may temporarily compress the nerves/arteries but that quickly goes back to normal after you move.

I have tightness in my chest numbness in arms and legs and diarhea?

I have tightness in my chest numbness in arms and legs and diarhea?

Chest tightness: Hi. Did this chest tightness begin recently? Whenever we hear about new onset of chest tightness our first concern is to rule out the possibility that it could be related to the heart. That is a priority! If that has not been checked out, you should go to the emergency room now to be evaluated. Once heart disease has been ruled out, then we can check for other causes. Do not delay. Good luck.

There is a very long list in the differential here-i.e.the list of likely suspects. It could be neurological, metabolic, neurodegenerative, infectious. They only give us 400 spaces here. Look at google scholar or www. Mayoclinic. Com or www. Johnshopkins. Com. Good luck!!

Numbness/weakness both arms and legs since January. Could I have a pinched nerve?

Less likely.: Pinched nerve is usually one side. If both sides are involved then you need to make sure if your muscles function right and get tested by a neurologist. Good luck.

Nerves in neck: If you have a nerve problem it is in your neck. This does not always require surgery but you need to be evaluated. See a back and neck surgeon.
