Can An Overdose Of Aspirin Kill You
Can aspirin overdose or to much aspirin use lead to organ damage or damage to certain parts of the body?
Many: Overdose of Aspirin can cause bleeding from ulcers or platelet dysfunction and bleeding in many places, can cause kidney dysfunction and an initial rapid breath to get rid of acid and the failure of that mechanism leads to metabolic acidosis, renal and respiratory failure. It can cause ringing in the ears. That is why even the commercial advocating use of Aspirin as a regular pain med scares me. ...Read more
How many aspirins a day is it safe to take on a regular daily schedule? I take four 325mg tablets every day.
Aspirin Dose: This is a difficult question to answer without knowing why you are taking it. If you are taking Aspirin for its cardioprotectant effect, the dose is considerably lower than what you are taking on the other hand, if you are taking it as an anti-inflammatory agent for osteoarthritis, the dose seems a little low. The doctor who prescribed your Aspirin therapy is the best person to answer this ...Read more

Chronic thrombosis of radial artery. Vascular surgeon says bypass could kill me. Do I have any other options. Only on Bayer aspirin.
Second opinion: It's unlikely that a radial artery bypass would kill you, as most perioperative mortality in vascular surgery is a result of cardiac events and this can be minimized in this setting with regional anesthesia. I would get a second opinion from a board certified vascular surgeon. Check with the society for vascular surgery at www. Vascularweb. Org. ...Read more
If someone had both a chronic and acute overdose on aspirin would it increase the chance of it being fatal?
Why do you ask?: Your question concerns me deeply. Chronic heavy dosing of Aspirin was common in the mid-20's century for managing rheumatoid arthritis and people did fairly well on it. If you know someone who is overdoing aspirin, get that person to a health care professional. If you are yourself thinking of harming yourself with Aspirin or anything else, please get appropriate help. Best wishes. ...Read more

Follow up...: If you took a massive amount of Aspirin I would definitely get a formal medical evaluation in order to get labs done and make sure everything is alright. Would I be able to live in full life after I overdosed on aspirin in 2012. the level went up to 75. or have it perhaps damaged my body?
You should be fine:
There is no lasting damage from salicylate overdose.
So don't spend much time worrying about that, rather concentrate on managing your life so that depression will not interfere with it. There are many useful resources online, but most people will need help from time to time and/or medications from a professional.
Good luck, and congratulations for tending to your physical & mental health! ...Read more
