When an ovarian cyst ruptures, the cyst fluid irritates your insides causing pain. Usually this pain lasts only a few days and then goes away on its own. It is usually treated with something like Ibuprofen to help with the pain as your body reabsorbs the fluid.

This sounds like pelvic pain which could be from a number of etiologies. It is best to first rule out GYN etiologies via a trip to see your GYN Specialist ASAP.

6-8 weeks: Normally, a ruptured cyst resolves in 6-8 wks. It depends on the size of the cyst and how much fluid spilled. Your body has to reabsorb the fluid. Sometimes, scar tissues forms as a result and causes chronic pain. Wait 2 more weeks, if not better, go see your gynecologist. You probably need a repeat ultrasound to be sure it's gone.
