Can Allergies Cause Blurred Vision
Dx - optic nerve hyperemia. Blurred vision in left eye for more than a year. Possible causes? Can be from use of Zaditor (ketotifen) for allergies?
Ophthalmologist : Make sure you see an ophthalmologist for evaluation. You may have congenital blurring of optic disc, disc drusen, hypoplasia, but with the blurred vision, I'd be worried about something different. A year-long history without worsening is not typical of inflammatory optic neuritis. Compression of nerve by tumor? Zaditor™ is not the cause. See an ophthalmologist. ...Read more

See your doctor: Itchy eyes are a symptom of allergy, and if there are a lot of secretions, this can lead to temporary blurring of vision. You need to see your doctor to get all these symptoms sorted out. ...Read more

Doc says i have allergy and dry eye. constant blurry vision and ghosting. Vision does not improve with drops. with glasses still 20/20 .Whats wrong?
See eye doctor: Allergic eyes only affect vision occasionally but dry eyes often do. Perhaps your vision is blurred because you need something more than just artificial tear but then I don't understand how you could have 20/20 vision if the vision were indeed blurred until this degree of visual acuity is only present intermittently. Please clarify. ...Read more

Took Zofran (ondansetron) and had temp blurred vision but it went away. What usually causes the blurred vision, and if it went away and I stop meds, should I worry?
Possible drug effect: While blurred vision is not a listed side effect of Zofran (ondansetron), (ondansetron) uncommon side-effects can occur with any medicine. The fact that the blurred vision went away when you stopped the drug suggests that the drug caused it. The only way to prove that would be to restart Zofran (ondansetron) and see if it recurs.
