Can Allergies Cause Blurred Vision
Dx - optic nerve hyperemia. Blurred vision in left eye for more than a year. Possible causes? Can be from use of Zaditor (ketotifen) for allergies?
Ophthalmologist : Make sure you see an ophthalmologist for evaluation. You may have congenital blurring of optic disc, disc drusen, hypoplasia, but with the blurred vision, I'd be worried about something different. A year-long history without worsening is not typical of inflammatory optic neuritis. Compression of nerve by tumor? Zaditor™ is not the cause. See an ophthalmologist. ...Read more

I suffer immensely from allergies. Itchy eyes.. Light sensitivity, blurred vision and rapid heart beat. I I don't know what i'm allergic to?
See your doctor: Itchy eyes are a symptom of allergy, and if there are a lot of secretions, this can lead to temporary blurring of vision. But neither light sensitivity nor rapid heart beat are symptoms of an allergic reaction (rapid heart beat only with a severe, life-threatening reaction). You need to see your doctor to get all these symptoms sorted out. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
After eating peanut butter, I have burning eyes, throat/eye swelling, low blood pressure, blurred vision. I have eaten it since a child so no allergy
Anaphylaxis?: It appeared that you had suffered shock from the peanut butter. Although most food allergies developed in childhood, they can also occur in adults. Before you touch peanuts again, be sure to get tested by an allergist. In the meanwhile, you need to carry an epineprhine autoinjector (preferably 2) with you until this issue has been clarified. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Doc says i have allergy and dry eye. constant blurry vision and ghosting. Vision does not improve with drops. with glasses still 20/20 .Whats wrong?
See eye doctor: Allergic eyes only affect vision occasionally but dry eyes often do. Perhaps your vision is blurred because you need something more than just artificial tear but then I don't understand how you could have 20/20 vision if the vision were indeed blurred until this degree of visual acuity is only present intermittently. Please clarify. ...Read more
