I get dizzy when I stand up, could it be an effect of my adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine)?
I am only 16 years old. I've been taking Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) often lately. Every time I stand up I get dizzy and everything turns white. Do you think that has anything to do with it?
Maybe: What does "i am taking it often" mean? If you are taking it more often than prescribed then yes your symptoms could be a side effect. Do not take it if it is not yours and if it is do not take more then the recommended dosage. You are asking for trouble. You could also be low on fluids and experiencing a drop in blood pressure when you stand up too fast. ...Read more

When they were discovered, amphetamines were initially studied as possible decongestants.

Since stopping adderall 2 months ago. Now on Zoloft for attacks, I've been getting these short vertigo feeling attacks when moving around or standing?
Hard to say: You don't say what you were on Adderall for, or why it was stopped. You also don't say what kind of "attacks" you were put on Zoloft for, although I will assume they were panic attacks. Vertigo can be a side effect of many medications, including Zoloft, but can have other causes. You need to talk about this with the prescriber and/or your pharmacist, and get a full physical evaluation. ...Read more
