No: Occasionally sinus rinses will force bacteria or fungus into other areas including the brain. They are not recommended. Gentle saline spray may help or topical steroids. The sinuses can be difficult to treat and sometimes require drainage. Ask for an ENT opinion. ...Read more

Was diagnosed w/ acute sinusitis. I'm now taking an antibiotic, antiviral, a steroid & ear drops & I'm not feeling better. Could it be something else?

You may need to: wait a bit longer for sinus infections to improve. They are notoriously hard to treat completely, sometimes taking up to 3 weeks of antibiotics and symptomatic medicines to treat all the symptoms. If you are not better after 3 weeks of antibiotics then something is wrong and you should see the professional help again. ...Read more

Decongestant: Oxymetozaline ( afrin, dristan, nasivin, logicin, Vicks sinex, visine l.R., sudafed om, and zicam) can all help. Don't use more than several days in succession.
