Acupuncture (Definition)

Acupuncture is a treatment based on Chinese medicine -- a system of healing that dates back thousands of years. At the core of Chinese medicine is the notion that a type of life force, or energy, known as qi (pronounced "chee") flows through energy pathways (meridians) in the body. Each meridian corresponds to one organ, or group of organs, that governs particular bodily functions. Achieving the proper flow of qi is thought to create health and wellness. Qi maintains the dynamic balance of yin and yang, which are complementary opposites. According to Chinese medicine, everything in nature has both yin and yang. An imbalance of qi (too much, too little, or blocked flow) causes disease. To restore balance to the qi, an acupuncturist inserts needles at points along the meridians. Ttc normal cycle is abt 33 days, but this time ovulation was on day 14. Now day 26 and I have bleeding. Period? Why early? Doing acupuncture + herbs

Still ok: A normal menstrual cycle can be as short as 21 days and as long as 35 days. If you ovulated on day 14 and then menstruated on day 26th then your luteal phase was 12 days, which is still considered normal also. Acupuncture and herbs can certainly affect your cycle. Tell your acupuncturist what happened this time and s/he may adjust your formula. ...Read more

Does anybody know if acupuncture for back pain really work or doesn't work?

Also, as not all chefs cook the same, not all acupuncture treatment provide the same efficacy, so if it didn't work, it doesn't mean it doesn't work. ...Read more
