Every once in a while it feels like my heart skips a beat. Could it be due to my acid reflux or would that not be the problem?
Skipped Heart Beats: What is referred to as a "skipped heart beat" is due to a premature beat of the heart. This is a harmless condition and most people do not even notice it. However, some people do feel it, in some cases making people nervous and rarely making it hard for a person to function. If it produces such symptoms, it can be eliminated by medications, but in most cases that is not necessary. ...Read more

If that's the case, a thorough history and physical examination, by your primary physician, can typically narrow down the possibilities. What OTC med can I use for acid reflux since I had a heart attack with 2 stents put in 4 months ago?
DGL licorice: Please do what your doc says, but a natural approach is to take dgl. Dgl is licorice tablets with an enzyme remove (because too much of it can raise bp). Flitting, mild pain right around my heart area, today only. It hasn't been confirmed but I may have acid reflux. I'm very active and fit. Ideas?
Doesnt sound serious: At your age if you're fit and healthy it is likely nothing serious. The most common problem fitting your description is precordial catch syndrome (google it and see if it fits!). Heartburn less likely but possible. Since it only happened today it most likely will go away on its own. Keep an eye out for patterns. ...Read more

More common for pvc. Why does acid reflux radiate from middle of your chest to the left and sometimes right when it goes to the left I think it's a heart attack.
Unfair isn't it?: Existentially it seems like a sick practical joke leaving patient & physicians befuddled & feeling very inadequate at times. And it is the reason we don't mess around with chest pain. Heart attacks can trigger reflux and reflux can induce coronary vasospasm. It's all connected in there and it is often a muddy bag of worms trying to figure it all out. ...Read more
