Mononucleosis: Mono is a common problem in adolescents. Called the kissing disease. It is due to a virus called Epstein Barr. Causes prolonged sore throat, fatigue and fever. Yes it can.: Acid Reflux can cause Heart burn, Stomach irritation after you eat. If this has been untreated for years can lead to scarring of lower part of Esophagus and there by narrowing. Preventing the normal passage of food to stomach. And you can feel food is stuck in chest, throat.
There are other causes for this symptoms too.

Worse GERD: It sounds like your GERD is worse. It may be that you need to have an increase in your medication and buckling down on antireflux precautions. Hopefully you'll be able to tell more after the endoscopy. Stick with your current medications for now, and consider adding in extra Tums (calcium carbonate) when ever you have worse symptoms.
