I see a lot of patients who are put on ppis for upper abdominal pain, told they have reflux or an ulcer, and when the pain doesn't improve they finally get some tests and it turns out it was their gall bladder the whole time. Does Pepto (pink liquid) reduce acid reflux? My stomach is fine, I just feel acid in my lower neck. It gets this way when I'm having a bad GERD day.
Doesn't help.: Bismuth products such as Pepto-Bismol do not help with acid reflux. You might want to consider taking antacids such as Tums (calcium carbonate) or Mylanta instead of Pepto-Bismol.
