Possible: I would recommend having it looked at by gynecologist. If it gets painful, red, inflamed or associated with fever then go to ER. May try a warm compress, warm wash cloth, or soaking in warm water in the meantime if it bothering you.

I have diabetes and therefor I have recurring yeast infections, can that cause a bartholin gland cyst abscess?

Sorta: You're diabetes puts you at risk of infection of the skin in general and certainly recurrent yeast infections may lead to inflammation around the gland opening leading to cyst formation, but it may also be related to sexual activity or a bacterial infection issue.

Bartholin cyst - how long does it take to heal after an infection? Pain is grave...

Bartholins cyst: Bartholins cysts take up to two weeks to heal. It will get better faster once it opens and drains and this often requires a doctor to make an incision. If you want to avoid that I would sit in warm water 2-3 times a day for 20 min and use warm compresses. I'm sorry, they can be quite painful.

I was prescribed Cephalexin for a cyst- 3 a day for 7 days. On day 3, I have developed a yeast infection. Can I ask for diflucan (fluconazole)?

Yes: Sure, no problem. Fluconazole (Diflucan) and cephalexin (Keflex) won't interfere with each other. However, you should first check with the doctor who prescribed the cephalexin and see if s/he would like to check for sure whether you have a yeast infection and/or approve the treatment.

I have a sebaceous cyst on my arm pit that has a yeast infection. Is there any way to get rid of the yeast infection?

Yeast in your armpit: Is not a common area for infection unless you have predisposing problems such as hidradenitis suppurtiva. But if its a superficial infection, most over the counter antifungals will work for you. If its more refractory, you will have to see your local physician for further treatment.

I had a trace of protein in my urine, but I also have a yeast infection. Can a yeast infection cause this trace of protein?

Yes and no: If the urine also showed epithelial cells and white blood cells, then it is contaminated and the protein could be from that. If it is a clean, properly collected urine specimen then a vaginal yeast infection would not cause a change in the urine protein. Get it rechecked after you clear up the infection.

Can a yeast infection cause air in the vagina? I think I might have one but I also have a lot of air. Can air make the vagina feel looser?

See below: Yeast infection is not usually associated with gas/air in the vagina. Loose vagina is likely to aspirate air rather than air making the vagina loose. See the site listed below for more information on yeast infection. Http://www. Webmd. Com/women/tc/vaginal-yeast-infections-topic-overview
