Travel: There is a risk for anyone who takes a long distance car ride of developing clots in their lower extremities . I highly suggest using support / compression hose , keeping the legs elevated if possible and stopping every 2 hours to walk around . Try to massage the calf . Yes: In the second trimester of pregnancy, a woman is not too big nor very off balance. Thus, she should be able to move about fine and get in and out of the basket without a problem.
