Talk to your doctor : or the on-call doctor in the AM before your next dose to ask if a change in antibiotics is needed. Four days of antibiotics is insufficient to treat sinusitis. Your doctor may recommend evaluation to determine if your hand pain & numbness is related to Cipro. ...Read more

Need more treatment: If the pain from your sinusitis is still there, the infection has not resolved. If your antibiotics were only for 7 days, the course was too short. Sinusitis needs a minimum of 10-days of antibiotics for resolution. If you had 10 days or longer, then you should get a 2nd course of antibiotics. I am an ENT in bh. Highly unlikely: It is more likely to have facial swelling with a sinusitis. There is an uncommon condition, silent sinus syndrome where the cheek or maxillary sinus is obstructed and fails to develop or gets smaller. If that happens the eye socket enlarges as the sinus roof drops and the front wall may collapse in with loss of mid face volume. However I have never seen it both sides.
