OK, well there isn't: A way to stop heavy bleeding over the internet yet. So you will need a visit to either urgent care or the local ER if your bleeding is soaking through a super maxi pad an hour for four hours. You may want to repeat that pregnancy test or have that done at the ER or urgent care. Especially given the severe pain, I suggest a more urgent evaluation. You may need a D&C to stop bleed. ...Read more

Testing too soon: Main thing is timing-it takes time (up to 2 wks) for your urinary levels of HCG to get elevated enough to be detected. Over-the-counter tests aren't always as sensitive as tests at your doctor's office, but even those usually take at least a few days after you're late to turn positive. Recheck 1-2 weeks later if you're late for your period & suspect you might be pregnant. ...Read more

Yes: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed. ...Read more

I got back my doctor given pregnancy test results and it said : positive (abn) what does that abn stand for?
Lab results: Are always flagged as normal or abnormal. In the case of hCG, the "normal, " result is negative. Took pregnancy test results neg. (4 of them) I've gained 46lbs in a month no cycle for november, could I be? I also look 4 to 5months.
46 pounds in one month is very extreme. The average weight gain for pregnancy is 25-30 pounds for the whole pregnancy. If four tests have been neg, then you are likely not pregnant.
On the other hand the weight gain is worrisome. It could be fluid which could indicate a heart/circulatory problem, uterine or other gynelogical isse like a tumor; also hormonal issues (i.E thyroid) and diabetes need to be ruled out.
Please see your doctor right away for a medical evaluation and treatment.
Good luck. ...Read more
