Ulnar nerve Sx: It is most likely that ur gerd is giving you the chest pain rather than your ulnar nerve. Patients w/ulnar nerve compression can have pain, numbness, tingling, cold hands/arms, neck ; shoulder pain; just about any symptom from the fingertips to the neck, but not chest pain. A strain: This pain is most likely related to strain or overuse. You may not be aware of how or when it occurred. Since you have no other symptoms and are young, I think you can manage it yourself for a couple days: ice (15 minutes 3-4 times/day), then possibly heat, gentle stretching, avoid re-injury, & ibuprofen 600 mg three times a day for just a couple days.
