Elevated calcium in blood? Im worried because i had a recent abnormal pap (normal one in 2012) can cervical cancer progress that quickly?
Likely unrelated: You should pursue gynecological care for the Pap smear. The calcium should be rechecked. Can surgical abortion done 2 months ago cause an abnormal pap test such as atypical squamous cells? I was 8 weeks pregnant at time of abortion
Not likely: Atypical squamous cells is not a bad abnormality. You should get an other PAP done in a year and if there is still an abnormality, talk to your doctor about an HPV test. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
I am 5 1/2 months pregnant, at my last OB appointment (yesterday) they took a urine sample as usual, but this time the records show that I have "Large Leukocytes" but tested negative for Nitrites. What does this mean?
UTI: a urine test with large leukocytes is indicative of an infection. A confirmatory microscopic evaluation of your urine could be done and then a culture to see if indeed there is an infection. In my practice I would usually treat pending the culture results if the microscopic exam of the urine was positive. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I'm female and had small amounts blood in discharge ONLY after intercourse. Had pap smear test dr said looks normal to naked eye. Is that a good sign?
Blood after sex: If your pap was after you had the bleeding than thats good. You need to get the final micro report on the pap. There might be abnormal cells that you can't see with the eye. An ultrasound of the uterus would be the next test if the papok ...Read more

HPV: Sounds reasonable, but without knowing the extent of abnormal findings it is impossible to really assess the appropriateness of your doctor's recommendation. This, however, is fairly standard advice absent some overt findings suggesting a need for surgery. Suggest you get the hpv vaccine. ...Read more

Could fingering (finger sex) the day before a pap smear cause false negative results? I.E. Cause it to show normal when actually abnormal
No effect on test: The pap smear takes cell samples from your cervix, which is the bottom part of the uterus. Any debris in the vagina is separate from the inner canal of the cervix. I'm almost a week late, and pregnancy tests keep showing negative results? Is it too early? Or could i need a blood test?
