Can A Negative Pregnancy Test Turn Positive
See your gyn: If you were my pt in coral springs fl, I would do a quantitative bhcg if it is neg then you are not preg, if it is + then it needs to be followed to see if you have a viable pregnancy or not.
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Not necessarily: Did you miss your period? If you are 4-5 days past the due date for your period, you should do the home pregnancy test using first morning urine and following the directions for the test carefully. You may wish to see your doctor for a more sensitive blood test, as soon as one day after a missed period.
Neg test = not preg: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.
Can I trust a negative pregnancy test 9 weeks after sex? I've read where some people didn't get positive tests until 10 weeks.
Negative pregnancy: Modern urine pregnancy tests sold in drugstores are very accurate when used properly. Most report accuracy as early as the first day after your first missed period. Therefore, if you have not had sex in 9 weeks, and your recent pregnancy test is negative, it would be highly unlikely that you are pregnant.
Positive pregnancy test followed by a negative pregnancy test. No cycle yet, intermittent pain by right ovary.?
Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ; hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test. When pregnant: Pregnancy occurred sometime in march or april.

Not pregnant: Why are you testing for pregnancy when you are on depo?
Had a d&c 7 weeks ago, got a negative pregnancy test 11 days after, got 1st period lasting 4 days 12 days ago, but am now getting 5 positive tests clear blue says 2-3 weeks since conception? Confused
5dpo got a positive ovulation test and a negative pregnancy test I know I don't have pcos I have two sons already and had two miscarriages?
As expected: You stop doing ovulation kits after it turns positive because it will stay positive for awhile. If you are having regular periods and your ovulation tests show you are ovulating there is simply no value or utility in repeating them. One would not expect a positive pregnancy test until at least 10 days after but cheaper just to wait and see if you miss your period before taking a test.
I have had vertigo, cold symptoms, frequent urination & heartburn. Today I'm 5 days late. Yesterday I got a negative pregnancy test & this morning I got a positive. Am I pregnant?
Ignoring neg preg: When you've delivered 1 month ago! Ignoring a negative pregnancy test when you're symptomatic of pregnancy and/or late on your menses can be dangerous because if might be an ectopic pregnancy, which if untreated can have fatal consequences. The moral is, if you feel pregnant and have a negative test seek medical advice.
When was test done?: Recommend waiting until period missed to test, can repeat in a week if still no period. Reasons for missed/late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked weight ^ or v, over-exercise, endurance athletics, breast-feeding, ^ stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), anovulatory cycle (no egg released), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, meds (i.e., birth control) or medical >See 1 more doctor answer
Any time: You can take a pregnancy test after a negative one at any time if you missed your period and/or having symptoms suggestive of one. Ideally, i'd wait a week or even two and do it again, but there's no set time frame in which you must do it.
See below: The only way would be to have a false positive test. One in which the patient is pregnant bu the test is negative. This happens when the directions are not followed correctly.
Yes, very early: A pregnancy test may not be positive until about 14 days after conception. You can be pregnant during this time and not know it. Also in situations where the pregnancy isn't doing well such as an ectopic pregnancy or pending miscarriage, a home pregnancy test can be negative even though you are pregnant. With a few exceptions, such as I've listed, a home pregnancy test is about 97% correct.
HPT not =100%: Although the hpts are quite good and many claim 99% accuracy, which means about 1% false. So, it is possible to have a pregnancy and the test is not picking it up. Have a blood test and/or ultrasound will confirm your suspicion. Consult doc. Good luck.
Wait until period: Missed to test, can re-test in another week if negative.
I took a negative pregnancy test, but I still have this feeling that I'm pregnant, am I testing to early?
Test 3 wks after sex: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed.
