Depends: Hi! Is this your first pregnancy? If you have had a miscarriage in the past then you may be at risk... However if this is your first pregnancy and your OB/GYN says you are doing well, then you will most likely do well :) Unfortunately a miscarriage can happen at any point in pregnancy. Heart beat: should be present on a fetal ultrasound by 7 weeks. If not present, either the dates are off, the quality of the exam is poor, or the fetus or baby is no longer alive, unfortunately, and your doctor may suggest a D & C or allow you to miscarry naturally.
