Yes: Possible contact dermatits from our cleaning solutions- betadine or chloraprep . Or we set off hidradenitis(infection) in the sweat glands - but that is usually pain but all tempered by the fact that we may have cut the third intercostal- brachial nerve to get out the lymph nodes but that usually causes numbness or a "weird" tingling feeling - dysesthesias - in the armpit and down the. ...Read more

Lymphedema: If you had surgery to remove the lymph nodes under the arm during a mastectomy which is common i would not recommend a tattoo on that arm as if you get an infection it could cause your arm to develop lymphedema which could be debilitating and chronic . Get a tattoo on another area would be my suggestion if you want to do that. ...Read more

No: No, you can't strain a lymph node by stretching. If the lump is itching and is in your armpit, it could be a clogged sweat gland that has caused a pimple to form. If it gets big enough over the next few days, it would be good to see a doctor to know what it is. ...Read more

Discuss: With your radiation oncologist and medical oncologist. Many people with micrometastases will benefit from radiaition. The also benefit from hormonal therapy if receptor positive. Good luck ...Read more

Post op issues: Best to go IMMEDIATELY to see your surgeon or Urgent Care center...Sounds like wound dehiscence who possible infection or abscess/hematoma formation. But over the internet impossible to tell. ...Read more
