I had cycling crash and had liver laceration grade 2, how long and time should I recover (rest) and start cycling again?

I had cycling crash and had liver laceration grade 2, how long and time should I recover (rest) and start cycling again?

Good question: No one really knows for sure how long liver lacerations take to heal, but it depends on extent of damage, associated organ injury, location of injury, etc. I would say 3 months to resume, if you are doing competitive cycling. If you are just riding with low risk of another crash, you can probably resume as soon as pain resolves. Ask your trauma surgeon for specific recommendations in your case

My son eas injured in a car crash caused a grade 2 liver laceration. Even since he has been home he complains he is always tired should I worrie?

Liver laceration: I have to believe by your comment that the surgeons elected to observe the lacerated liver. Just experiencing the type of trauma enough to lacerated the liver will cause a degree of lethargy for a while. My concern would be the possibility of continued blood loss from the laceration. Follow up with your family physician or surgeon and repeat a complete blood count and possibly a repeat ct scan.
