Sounds like Ulnar nv: Sounds like a terminal twig of the ulnar nerve in the way of one of the digital branches got affected or irritated by the surgery or removal of the cyst. That can happen. Sometimes that will calm down after a time and other times you'll need some medication assistance for the pain. Check with the surgeon or a neurologist. Ganglion cyst: No worry. This is not serious. There are ways of helping this. You can drain the cyst and inject it with steroids. Or a little known treatment is that you (your doctor) can place a large silk suture into the cyst and leave it in for 2 days and remove. The silk causes a reaction which in turns scars down the cyst.
