Can we take hCG shots for infortility/ovulation? My wife had a benign tumor on her left ovary, so her left over was removed around 6 months back. Now we are trying to get pregnant with one available right ovary. Our ER suggested Clomid for the first time

Not the best choice: Talk to your OB or a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist. Hcg can help with ovulation but has a higher risk of side effects than Clomid (clomiphene) which is often tried by itself first. If this is not effective, a regimen including HCG may be prescribed by a qualified specialist. ...Read more

I have severe endometriosis, one ovary removed, want to get pregnant. Is there a way to test my fertility before hubby reverses vasectomy? Chances low?

I have severe endometriosis, one ovary removed, want to get pregnant. Is there a way to test my fertility before hubby reverses vasectomy? Chances low?

Bad Odds: Oh wow! My first question is how long has your husband had a vasectomy? If longer than 5 years, significant antibodies are produced immobilizing the sperm and making him effectively infertile. Endometriosis prevents fertilization also. ...Read more
