Cyst can come anytim: Dermoid may have been hidden by the pregnancy. Did the tech look at your ovaries or just the fetus. Get the reports to be sure. Dermoids can grow at any time, may have been missed because it was very small. ...Read more

Ovarian tumors: As long as the dermoid doesn't twist on its own blood supply (torsion) and cause severe pain, in general they are left alone until postpartum. On occasional ovarian tumors need to be removed in the second trimester, but i always suggest getting a maternal fetal medicine opinion before removing if possible. ...Read more

If they aren't causing you pain, i bet your doctor will recommend waiting until sometime after pregnancy to consider removal. Surgery during pregnancy does occur, but only when absolutely necessary.
