Will my mtbi recover? Well according to your personal opinion? I got a concussion, not detected on CT scan.6months since, some improvement made

Impossible to Answer: Ct, MRI scans are very crude compared with the cellular ; synaptic complexity of the brain; which even the best brain specialists in the world, ramachandran, only partially understand. Medicine is quite low-tech compared with our soul, mind, brain, body. Study yourself. The more you work ; use your mind/brain, all kinds of activities, the better you will do, sort of like progressing from infancy. ...Read more

I have been diagnosed with concussion after a clear ct scan. Some of my symptoms are getting worse. What if nothing shows up on any other tests?

Depends on sxs: It is not clear what symptoms you are referring to and what the timeline is of the date of concussion and onset of symptoms. If you believe you have symptoms of concussion that are worsening, please return to your physician. At times, post-concussive symptoms can worsen if health is not well managed and may take longer for recovery. Post-concussive syndrome can take months for full recovery. ...Read more

Post-concussion Synd: I suspect you have post-concussive syndrome (a myriad of symptoms - headaches, nausea, dizziness, poor focus, intermittent tired feeling, etc - that wax/wane). Got concussion 2 weeks ago. Ct scan was all clear. Occasional mild headache every once in a while. Doc said I'm ok to have a few drinks. Do you agree?

Avoid alcohol: You may have a post-concussive/traumatic headache. If it's accompanied by other symptoms (difficulty concentrating, irritability) then you might have post-concussion syndrome. Improvement in symptoms is based on many factors. See your physician if the symptoms persist. Avoid alcohol and drugs as they may impede your cognition. Http://www. Cdc. A: A concussion is simply traumatic brain injury as the result to a direct or indirect blow to the head. A ct can rule out fracture or bleeding but cannot diagnose a concussion. A contussion is merely the outer swelling/bruising of the skin and head.
Symptoms of concussion include: altered level of consciousness, headache, nasea/vomiting, etc.
At this point in time the most important things to rule out are bleed/fracture which the ct did. Now you just need to monitor for improvement. ...Read more
