Slept with my cell phone on for the second night without knowing it . My sons sleeps in my bed too . How harmful is it ?
Don't worry BUT...: There is controversy about the hazards of cell phones. More research is needed but there is evidence of potential harm for those who use cell phones a great deal. The closer to your head and the longer the time the more the risk. A couple night's exposure is unlikely to cause harm but in future either put phone on airplane mode or keep several feet from your head- see https://tinyurl.com/nj9upoc ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Almost 3 yrs ago i noticed my son had a yellow pupil in a photograph taken with a cell phone. He has had a few eye exams, and is healthy. But sometimes he will still have a yellow pupil. Worrisome?
Maybe: A yellow pupil instead of the typical red pupil in a photo can indicate something going on that is interfering with the light reflex..(cataract, retinal pathology) a complete, dilated, eye exam done by an ophthalmologist will be able to diagnose any abnormalities that may be the cause. The retina needs to be examined...Not just a vision test. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

These are the things to sort out before going down the slippery slope of putting 'hot' gadgets into your child's hands. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

First, two musts - never use in school and never take to bed. Beyond that, you need to set limits and customize its use. Help them learn appropriate social norms in use. ...Read more
No: The fact that this question persists is testimony to the impact of junk science, weird politics and perhaps a dysfunctional tort law system. Phones produce nothing that damages dna. Any time you ask people to remember what might have put them at risk, you get bogus data from "recall bias." one of the big studies had a majority of the tumors on the opposite side. And so forth. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
None: There are no diseases caused by overuse of cell phones that we now know of. And, I am unclear as to what you mean by "addiction." the word addiction would refer to problems caused by overdoing certain behaviors, like drinking, taking drugs, eating too much, etc. If a person has tried to decrease such behaviors and is unsuccessful, he or she should seek help from a professional. ...Read more
If : If you google "cell phones" and "infants" you will come across a ton of websites talking about cell phone proximity causing everything from autism to brain cancer. So far, there is no conclusive scientific evidence that cell phones cause any harm to infants and children and so there are no official guidelines. There is concern, so research is currently being conducted, but there is no available information on this topic, yet. At this point, i would just recommend doing what makes you most comfortable. ...Read more
