2 different issues: A Bartholin’s cyst does not require any treatment until it becomes infected. People can live with them for years and years. The mons cyst needs a diagnosis. An Obgyn needs to see it to determine what it is and what might be causing it before we can offer any suggestions. Lubrication: Bartholin's glands are located to either side of the opening of the vagina. They are normally small pea sized glands that secrete a fluid for lubrication of the vagina. If they become inflamed they can enlarge and become problematic.

When the duct that allows the secretions to exit gets plugged or obstructed, then the gland can get enlarged and painful.
