Can A Baby Of One Year Old Drink Nesquik With Milk
Please don't: Theoretically, yes, if the nesquick/milk combination is not too thick. However, please don't feed your one-year old nesquick, or any other sugary food. Nesquick and other similar products have very little (if any) nutritional value, and just put the child at future risk of dental cavities and poor nutrition habits. When the child is older, sweet foods can be had occasionally as treats. ...Read more

My daughter just turned one year old should I stop the formula and shift to regular whole milk? And how much milk should she be drinking per day (ml)?
Milk: It is recommended to switch to whole milk at one year. The recommended amount is 2 cups a day (to provide adequate vitamin d) but not much more. When kids are "milkaholics" they actually can become iron deficient. I'd shoot for 2 cups (16oz) per day and stop there. (in a cup - get rid of the bottles too.). ...Read more
Can my one year old go without drinking milk? I'm weening him off breast milk but he rejects milk.
One year old daughter crying for breast feed in night. Eats mild solids well. Not drinking bottle milk. Expects me always around her, else she cries?
Possible teething: She may be crying at night for another reason. At a year of age she is conceivably teething thereby giving her pain. Try giving her Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) at bedtime and see if that soothes her. If you want to stop the night time feeds another thing you can try, is to let her cry it out. Go to her when wakes up, sooth her but don't pick her up. After 3-4 nights and you'll get your rest. ...Read more

What to do if I have a one year old baby. For last two days no milk is getting for her. If she suck too nothing coming, what to do for this?
One year old: One year toddlers are generally eating table foods and are generally transitioned to whole milk at this age (as long as no milk allergy has been determined). If your breast milk supply had dwindled/disappeared then transition to whole milk would be your next step. If you have other concerns regarding your todler's feeding I would recommend speaking to your pediatrician for more recommendations ...Read more

I never would: The first 2 years are critical in brain formation and fat and cholesterol are necessary building blocks for brain formation. Failure to have enough access to these in the diet can cause impaired brain development. I never recommend a low fat diet or milk product until after age 2. ...Read more
2% or whole: If your 2 yr old is nice and "soft", you can opt for 2%. If he is very thin, stick with whole milk. I don't recommend fat free milk for children under 5, as they need fat in their diet to absorb vitamins and grow properly. But make sure they are getting plenty of GOOD fat in foods (fish, avocado, olive oil) and other healthy foods before they load up on milk and get full! ...Read more

A few things...: By the age of 1 yr children should be off the bottle completely. They should be able to go all night without requiring a nighttime feed. Your child should be good with normal daytime meals and perhaps a cup of milk before bed. I encourage parents to establish good bedtime routines. Bedtime around 8pm, sleep for a good 10 hrs. ...Read more
My son is one year old. I recently say a report saying milk causes certain diseases. Are there any connections to this?
Depends: Question is rather vague. Too much water intake will give you seizures but we live on the right amount. Same with milk. Cow milk is naturally made for calves, but the right amount gives humans an easy way to get nutrients & calcium, too much in infants can cause microscopic bleeding in the gut & anemia. If allergic there are problems, if you have a specific issue, please be more specific when you ask ...Read more
My son is one year old, should I stop using formula all to gather and start on fresh milk? Fresh milk vs long live milk, is there a different?
Constipation: When transitioning to whole milk, both constipation and diarrhea are very common. Instead of using a milk alternative, I would just ensure that your toddler isn't getting too much milk which may make constipation worse. I would try limiting the milk to 20 oz per day. I would limit all sugary beverages to no more than 4 oz per day and give 8 oz/day or more of water. ...Read more
Needs calcium: Dairy is an easy source of the calcium needed for babies to build bone. They need the equivalent of 4 cups a day. If you are convinced cow mild constipates him there are alternatives. Soy & almond milks are formulated with calcium to meet that need. Goats milk supplemented with folate can also do it. You can also feed the kid antacid tablets (Tums wafers) that would do the job. ...Read more

Yes possible: 1 year olds can develop milk allergy. However, it is important to rule out other causes. Depending on what type of allergic reaction you think the milk is causing, there could be other contributing factors.
