Preg post menopause

True menopause is defined as the absence of menses for one full year. If you have reached that time period it is unlikely that you'll conceive. Until then you could become pregnant!n Clearly if you want to conceive your chances of a child with a defect increase. The commonest defect is Downs Syndrome which is more common in a woman over 35 yrs of age.

Is it possible to become pregnant without having a period? I am a 30 year old female that is trying to conceive but get disappointed all the time. I have a six year old son and I don't remember having a period when he was conceived. I didn't find out abou

If

If you have been trying to get pregnant for more than 6 months without any luck, then you should call your OB/Gyn to discuss - especially if you are not having a regular period. There are lots of other reasons besides pregnancy that can cause a woman to miss a period such as: stress, illness, diet, excessive exercise or a hormone imbalance such as with a thyroid disorder or polycystic ovarian syndrome. All of these things can also affect your ability to get pregnant. Give your doctor a call.

What To Ask Your Doc

If female, ask how much! If male, ask if you are taking too much. Vitamin D3 is more important!

Possibly

Irregular periods may be a sign of an underlying medical condition that may affect infertility in the long run, or may be the result of pregnancy, medications, or weight loss. Some of these conditions are more easily rectified than others, so see your doctor to be evaluated.

Depends

Irregular and missed periods happen due to irregular or missed ovulations. By definition you have mild ovulatory dysfunction, the most frequent female fertility problem (30%.) If this is the only abnormality you and your partner have, you may not even have problems conceiving. If there are other problems, depending what they are, your chances could be less good.

Maybe. Find out why

It might take longer to conceive because you're not ovulating regularly. We can find the cause: polycystic ovarian sydrome (PCOS), thyroid or prolactin hormone issues, aging of the ovary (less likely at 25), or low hormone levels from exercise, eating disorders, or stress. See a Reproductive Endocrinologist for tests / treatment when you're ready to try, or after 6 months of trying. Best wishes.

Patience

If you are having regular monthly periods, keep trying. It can take up to 18 months for a normal couple to achieve conception. Most recommendations are to defer infertility testing until you have been trying to conceive for at least 12 months. If you are not already taking folic acid, you should start it now. Good luck.

I have sugar in my urine, but not in my blood, what is this a result of I am a female, not pregnant, no chance of being pregnant, 34 years old

Could be nothing

First of all, just because you are 34 does not mean you cannot get pregnant. Only if having NO intercourse, you are not pregnant. First i would r/o diabetes; assuming that is negative (what you mean by 'not in my blood'); then this could be just a normal phenomenon as sometimes your threshold to excrete sugar may decrease and it may show up in the urine.

This is an urgent matter that needs to be brought to the attention of your OB/GYN right away. You could be dealing with something called preeclampia. This is a condition in pregnancy that cause high blood pressure and increased protein in the urine. The spots you are seeing could be an effect of high blood pressure, which could be a clue to the diagnosis preeclampsia. This is a serious condition that needs to be ruled out right away. If you have not done so already contact your doctor right away or present yourself to OB Triage for a prompt evaluation. Good luck

Possible

Possible early pregnancy symptoms can include: feeling tired, lack of your period, tender or enlarged breasts, slight cramping, urinating more often, nausea, slight enlargement of abdomen etc. If you had unprotected sex and your period is late, it is possible that you could be pregnant. If any of the above applies to you, recommend that you take a pregnancy test.
