Can drinking Green tea combined with peppermint and spearmint have negative effect on one's fertile CM?

No: I know of no evidence to suggest that any herbal teas might have an impact on your cervical mucus. Cervical mucus tends to be hormonal mediated and I don't think that any tea or mint will have a hormonal component to them. ...Read more

Hi, I am currently in thyroxine. Is it ok to drink peppermint tea? I have heard it can affect my medication. Thanks Jo.

OK as far as known: There is relatively research on the interactions of drugs and herbs but I am not aware of any evidence that thyroxine and peppermint tea interact. See http://tinyurl. Com/nxfsatt for a good article on known thyroxine interactions. This article discusses a surprising number of interactions between peppermint and meds but does not mention thyroxine: http://tinyurl. Is it safe to drink peppermint tea while taking amitriptyline & lorazepam?

Is it safe to drink peppermint tea while taking amitriptyline & lorazepam?

No interactions: You can drink it without concern. The primary concern with teas is green tea lowering Coumadin (warfarin) levels by 50%. Thus, if you stop drinking it the levels double. Good question though. I had to look it up. Helps us all here stay on our toes and we learn a lot from questions such as yours. Have a good night. ...Read more

My BP is usually 110/68 in the morning. The last week its been up to 130/80. been drinking ginger tea with peppermint tea the last week. Any thoughts?

Both numbers normal: Both 110/68 and 130/80 are normal blood pressure readings. Blood-pressure readings are dynamic, that is they change throughout the day. Many things can affect your blood pressure including medications (such as Adderall), anxiety, salt intake and amount of sleep. Ginger tea or peppermint tea are very unlikely to be affecting your blood pressure. ...Read more

Is frozen purple grape juice, apple juice and peppermint tea ok to drink for ulcer. Ipeppermint tea seems to calm tummy but some say bad for ulcer?

Probably OK: I see no problem with grape and apple juice, though I strongly recommend organic juices as both conventional grapes and apples are high in pesticides. The only reference I found re: ulcers says it should not be used in stomach ulcers because it lowers esophageal sphincter pressure, but I don't see why that would be bad for an ulcer. Many authorities claim peppermint tea is good for ulcers. ...Read more

Does peppermint tea really work to alleviate stomach problems?

Some, not all: Peppermint can decrease muscle spasm in bowel, so may help with cramping; carminative (helps passing gas). Can increase reflux from stomach into esophagus, so would worsen that problem. Does not take the place of meds, diet, etc. For other conditions, like celiac sprue, inflammatory bowel disease. ...Read more

Is it true that mint or peppermint water/tea is great for headaches? Taking butalb- acetamin - caff.

Not that I know.: First, identify what kind of headache you have and what may be underlying cause. Furthermore, your medication can lead to increased and more frequent headaches, "chronic daily headaches", and I would not suggest using this preparation in this day and age. See your doctor and work together, as better approaches are available. ...Read more
