My estrone came back high and my dr says I need to take very high doses of iodine for 2 months to fix it, safe? Is there any other way I can lower it?
Confusing: Something not right here. Estrone levels can be high for a variety of reasons. "High" may not be abnormal for you depending upon your cycle. So.... I am not sure that you "need lowering." I cannot see how iodine would affect your estrone level in any case. If this is your regular doc, consider seeing an internal medicine specialist or an endocrinologist. ...Read more

You may have a Fetal Ultrasound for other anatomical markers of DS & a test of fetal DNA circulating in your blood. If your calculated risk remains high, you'll be offered a diagnostic test for Fetal Chromosome Analysis & genetic counseling. ...Read more
