Why does my callus on ball of my foot/under 2nd toe hurt so bad when i rub it around the edges? Esp near the top near my toes. Does it have deep core?

Solution to callus: Hello and thank you for your question, Callus formation is commonly due to ill-fitting shoes that may cause a patient to walk in a manner that creates the callus. My first suggestion would be to identify that shoe that you may feel is causing the problem and purchase sole pads to insert in them. If it is an isolated callus, a callus cushion may be beneficial. My feet have calluses on inner side of them, is there a way to correct my posture to evenly put pressure on the balls of my feet?
I have small stone like calluses on the balls of my feet to the right/left sides. They cause a lot of pain. Can they be removed surgically?
Yes: It could be removed surgically although it can recur because it is caused from constant pressure on the dependent spots. Callus: Usually calluses are formed due to increased pressure. To get rid of them may involve orthotics, change in shoegear, or even potentially surgery. You can make them less painful with the use of moisturizers after getting your feet wet to the dry/callused areas. Or use of a pumice stone daily after getting your feet wet as well.
