Calfs Hurt While Sitting
I was sitting down and stood up fast and had a pop in my calf. Now it hurts real bad and I cannot walk very well plus it is swal it is only in my calf
Hello.: Hello. I can't diagnose your condition. However rupture of the achilles tendon can present with a sharp snap or pop in the lower calf. It is extremely painful and usually the person can only limp. The rupture can lead to calf swelling and inability to point your foot downward. You might find you are not able to stand on your toes or walk up the stairs. I recommend that you see an orthopedic surgeon because you might need surgery. Take care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

R/O STRESS FRACTURE: Yes: You need to rule out a stress fracture of the tibia. Get tib/fib x ray /MRI or potentially bone scan. If X-ray is - a bone scan is indicated. It takes awhile to heal and you may need pain medication and close follow up. If healing is delayed you can have PRP = PLATELET RICH PLASMA TO EXPEDITE HEALING or PROLOTHERAPY. ...Read more
L5-S1 microdiscectomy Fri for left leg sciatic pain. Calf/foot pain relief w/some thigh/behind knee pain. Pain less AM but sharp pain down left leg into foot w/pain level of 9.5 & hurts sitting/lying.
Microdiskectomy: Give it some time; sometimes simply moving the roots around can upset the lumbar plexus and give you intermittent (even quite severe) pain, although it resolves within a week or two. Getting to the disk requires mobilization of the roots and inflammatory changes from that- or the disk herniation- itself can give this pain. As long as bowel and bladder OK, hopefully this will resolve also. Best! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have pain in my lower right side just above the butt and it hurts around and down my leg. Sitting and standing makes hurt bad. Could it be siatic?
My hip/back (feels like it's deep in my butt) hurts badly when I lay on my back & am in the process of laying down/sitting up or lifting the leg. Why?
You may have pulled a muscle: Depending on what you were doing prior to the symptoms occurring, will determine exactly what the problem is. Your description sounds closer to a muscular spasm, or possible pinched nerve, or it could be something more serious like a herniated disc, depending on if there was any trauma involved prior to your painful condition occurring. If it doesn't get better, you need to see your pcp for management. ...Read more
