Pain began in left calf. Has moved to thigh&still calf. Muscle spams & tightness. Pain not constant. No birth control. Checked for DVT x2.?

Leg pain: vascular?: Deep vein thromotic lesions are more serious but less common than superficial vein thrombi. Your "check for DVT x2 should have been via ultrasound tests (plethismography) to be certain there is not a deep vein clot. Superficial venous clots to move and can cause pain, but are less a concern. See your health care professional. ...Read more

I have a grape size hard (ish) lump at the top of my calf muscle, just below the knee. It hurts to walk on, and clicks when I go upstairs. DVT?

No: It is not DVT. If the lump is fresh means you noticed it for last few days then you need to check it out. If it was there for long time it could be a fat lump which is not dangerous yet still may need to come out if it is painful. ...Read more

Diff between non occlusive thrombus and dvt? What can cause random blood clot? No family hist that I know of. Can a really bad muscle strain cause it?

Anyone can get clot: If the clot is in the deep vein system it's dvt. Non- occlusive just means there's still some flow in the vein around the clot. Clot is caused by poor blood flow (stasis) damage to the vein lining (trauma) and/or an abnormal ability to make clot which can result from a clotting factor problem (hereditary). Muscle strain can cause clot, typically in arm veins in athletes/weight-lifters. ...Read more

Mild pain and mild spasms in calf. No pain walking, laying, or standing (exc. In some positions). Dvt? Strain? No insurance. Scared. No other symptoms

Possible: The symptoms you describe could be due to any number of issues...If you have no family history of hypercoaguability, no history of trauma or extended immobility involving the leg and no swelling, warmth or redness...Then a DVT is unlikely...You could try an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen and see how it goes. The only way to be sure would require an ultrasound be done. ...Read more

I severely strained my calf muscles. My shin hurts and I didn't hit it. Is it normal for your shin to hurt with a severe calf muscle strain?

Normal it is not!!: I am sure you must injured the shin, when you fell or whichever way you injured your calf. Our brains register only the worst injured (or more painful) part first, while the lesser injured part still hurts or becomes obvious later.
Your examining Doc can certainly reassure you that you most likely injured the shin as well. Check with him/her.
Good Luck! ...Read more
