Exam would be best: Did they literally just appear after your surgery? And what do you mean by similar lump after muscle? At another time/surgery? Are they around the incision sites? It's possible they are scars depending on how they performed the surgery. Quad weakness: The most common source of pain and "instability" after acl reconstruction is from weakness in the quad muscles (acl failure is possible but actually less common). Check for a clot:
Pain in calf muscles can be seen after arthroscopy but its imperative that you call your surgeon. He will send you to an er immediately to rule out the presence of a clot. Clots can be fatal if left untreated.
