Could be ringworm: This sounds like what is commonly called ringworm, or tinea corporus. This is a common infection caused by a fungus. It is easily treated with Lamisil (terbinafine) or lotrimin, but make sure that this is what it is by going to your family doctor. Read more

"heat rash? ": When you get this rash, get an appt so the dr can see it, and then the diagnosis would be made and the best treatment could start. If only when sweating, possibly it is a type of minor heat rash that itches. Stress can also cause itching, called stress urticaria, and meds such as Hydroxyzine hcl, which are fda approved for both anxiety and itching can help. Good luck. Read more

Insect Bite: Signs and symptoms of an insect bite result from the injection of venom or other substances into your skin. The venom causes pain and sometimes triggers an allergic reaction. The severity of the reaction depends on your sensitivity to the insect venom or substance and whether you've been stung or bitten more than once. See your doctor as the bite may be infected. 2 bites on right calf, small white blisters I the center, red and swollen around the blisters. Hard knot under the skin. Itches. No fever.

2 bites on right calf, small white blisters I the center, red and swollen around the blisters. Hard knot under the skin. Itches. No fever.

Fire ant bites: Most likely fire ant bites, they will go away without treatment in several days. The white center is not an indication of infection, so it is best not to break the blister. Just put a bandage over them to keep your little one from scratching. An over the counter antihistamine like Diphenhydramine (benadryl) will likely help the itching along with a cool compress. When I stand still the inside of my leg itches incredibly bad I have had this for about 7 years and im not sure what it is?

Tough to say: You need to see a dr. And get a an official history and physical to determine what issues you have. Probably not a dermatitis if it only happens when standing. May be some nerve irritation caused by a standing position irritating your sciatic nerve, that is somehow causing the feeling of "itching" to the area a nerve branch is innervating, a simple guess on the computer though. Get eval, good luck. Read more

I have this bump on my leg and it itches but there is a black thing in the middle of it and it kinda feels hot to touch to me but not others?

Get it checked: An itchy bump doesn't sound too worrisome, but anytime we hear there is pigmentation, "a black thing", we have more concern for skin cancer. For us a picture would help, but probably best to have your doctor take a look at it. Good luck! Read more

I have a rash on my leg n it itches like little bugs are crawling around?

Could be chiggers..: Chigger bites are caused by mites which burrow themselves underneath skin causing little rashes like those in picture here. They can be intensely itchy especially at night when these creatures are active--they actually move in these burrows in the dark, thus more itching at night. Often one gets this infliction from grass fields. Consult doc for treatment. Good luck. Read more

I have a scab about the size of a dime on my leg that itches and won't heal?

I have a scab about the size of a dime on my leg that itches and won't heal?

Rule out skin cancer: Itching suggests the body's effort to heal a wound as the nerves try to regenerate. But the fact that a scab persists and the wound will not heal suggests that there may be atypical cells. These cells could be skin cancers, either basal cell or squamous cell. In addition, if there is a history of a pigmented lesion, this could be a melanoma. You need to see a physician who will perform a biopsy. Read more

My 12 year old son's lower left leg really stated bothering him. He says it itches on the inside and feels like it's having spaziums?

Twitches: These may be muscular contractions or irritability of a nerve in the thigh. If other areas of the body also have spasms, we check for magnesium or calcium deficiencies. A neurologist is best qualified to evaluate these types of symptoms. If the symptoms remain localized to the inner leg only, a systemic problem is unlikely. Read more

I have a red rash on the back of my leg and it itches really bad?

Leg itch: A natural question would be to ask if you came in contact with Poison Ivy or Poison Oak. In any event, if the rash is not spreading you can try Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) creme which is over-the-counter. This should help to clear it up. If the rash is spreading you should probably see a Dermatologist. Read more
