Hematoma: The venipuncture for blood draw leaked and caused a hematoma outside of the vein or in the vein wall or both and this will heal in most cases without any consequences. Venous reflux test: Recommend that you look into your vein disease further w/ a venous reflux ultrasound test to assess your varicose veins & to look into venous insufficiency as a possible cause. Doubtful.: A rash probably is not a blood vessel unless you have a group of spider veins in that area which would give the appearance of spider legs. Varicose veins would be raised, blue and grape-like in appearance. A red rash doesn't sound like veins. You should see a vein specialist for an evaluation. ...Read more
