Is it true that too much elemental calcium in the blood (over 2500 mg) may cause calcium toxicity?
Why do we use sodium flouride instead of calcium flouride in our toothpastes, mouthwashes etc? It's much less toxic than sodium flouride.
Not bio-available: The short answer is that calcium Fluoride is so extremely insoluble as to be considered unusable by your body. Sodium and stannous fluorides are able to be broken down and then the fluorides can enter into and bond with the enamel. Enamel is made of a ring of ions and the Fluoride substitutes in the center to form a more stable ring. This new "ring" is more resistant to decay. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Calcium level- 9.5 and with vitamin D3 toxicity level 160
what should be take or avoid to control level of vit d3?
Stop taking Vit. D!: Levels this high do not occur unless one is taking very high doses of vit. D. Of interest, while levels above 100 are considered toxic, there are generally no symptoms of toxicity unless 200 or higher. Your normal calcium suggests this is not a big problem. All you need to do to bring it down is stop taking vit. D. See www.Vitamindcouncil.Org/about-vitamin-d/what-is-vitamin-d/vitamin-d-toxicity/. ...Read more
Is there a test that can see if i'm getting way too much calcium or vitamin D3 to dangerous toxic levels? If so, what's that test called? Im 18 male
Am to take two Calcium+D3 400mg twice daily plus Vit D 4000mg qday! Why can't I take all @same time. Now want me 2 take calcium morn/night. Y?
It has to do with: absorption. The vitamin D supplement helps make sure you have enough vitamin D in your body to absorb the calcium properly. They don't have to be taken at the same time. The reason to split the dose of calcium is that it is absorbed best in doses of 500-600 mg or less Also, take with food which produces stomach acid aiding absorption. Drink a lot of water...calcium can be constipating. Stay well! ...Read more

Other results can be trying to overly please or ingratiate others, or getting aggressive towards others to gain power by shaming them. Guilt = "i did something bad." shame = "i am bad.". ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
