Calcarea carbonica: Physicians who have not studied homeopathy or seen what it can do, will likely say "don't bother." but having studied & practiced this since 1999, i can say that if your case is well-taken by an experienced homeopath and calcarea carbonica is well indicated, it can afford healing from a wide variety of health problems. Homeopathy treats your whole being over time, & not just 1 part. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Why Supplements?: Since you're 17 years old, I am concerned that you are spending time and money wasting it on the supplements that you listed. While some of the substances are present in a healthy diet, there is actually no reason you should be taking them in the form of a supplement. You should be getting all the vitamin D you need in a healthy diet, and the other things, except Prilosec, are unproven. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have Pseudotumor Cerebri. I've read Pomegranate, milk thistle, turmeric, capsaicin all hold Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitors naturally. Is this true?
Use with care: I can confirm that pomegranate and turmeric contain some carbonic anhydrase inhibitor activity. However, these do not have enough of this to be clinically useful. It is much more straightforward to take a small dose of diamox (acetazolamide) instead. Although it does not work for everyone with PTC, it helps many. The side effects would be the same if the medicine dose was the same. ...Read more
