Cabbage Benefits For Men
There are: No benefits. The only men who take them are "body builders" who put their faith in pharmacology instead of their genetics and work ethic, and then suffer the consequences for their poor decision making. Besides, you'd have to get them illegally on the black market, could get a very toxic drug instead, and could be liable for a felony conviction. Does that make sense? ...Read more
Clomid (clomiphene) and men: Clomid (clomiphene) use in men, as in women, produces an increase in the gonadotropins lh ; fsh (the hormones which stimulate the gonads). If a man has poor testicular function due to low lh ; fsh (as characterized by low sperm count and/or low testosterone), prolonged daily use of high doses of Clomid (clomiphene) (or its twin, tamoxifen) may correct this. ...Read more
Maybe: Some medical research suggests that pelvic floor exercises can improve erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, via improved muscular control of the pelvis. Given that there is virtually no risk, kegel exercises are a logical first approach to these problems, before considering medications. ...Read more
Diet and exercise: For the most part those diet products are a ripoff and don't really help with weight loss. Lifestyle changes along with calorie restriction and exercise is the only successful routine. I would skip the dietary additives and work on diet lifestyle changes and exercise. ...Read more
Might it be possible that a a physically masculine woman wanting to lose weight benefit from men's diet products?
Yes: The truth is that designating a weight-loss product as "for men" or "for women" is 99% advertising / marketing. The key to weight loss will always be calories-in and calories-out, the products work when combined with exercise and a low-calorie diet, a cheap vitamin-mineral tablet is probably more than enough, & lasting weight loss comes from lifestyle change. Glad you're doing this; good luck. ...Read more
Does shaving more often damage/benefit normal facial skin (not dry, not oily, etc)? Is using a depilatory powder a better/worse alternative for men?
Depends: Usually best to shave more gently but more frequently. The longer you go between shaves the more irritating it is. Depends on type of skin and type of hair. Kinky hairs are associated with pseudofolliculitis. Do you have a specific problem???? ...Read more

No and yes....: If you have a normal diet and eat a variety of foods, you probably do not need a multivitamin. However, it probably won't hurt you either (other than your wallet). Atenolol and multivitamins mix fine. Atenolol, however, is not the best beta-blocker. Talk to your doctor about metoprolol or nebivolol if you must have a beta-blocker. If you haven't had a heart attack you should talk to your dr. ...Read more
I think it is important to understand that supplements and herbal remedies differ from traditional medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, in that, by law, they are not required by the government to have the same rigorous standards of proving that they are safe and effective by the fda. As long as a product has a disclaimer that it does not claim to treat any illness, the company selling it is basically able to make many claims regarding what the product can do. These products may well be effective and safe (although I would not spend my money on them unless they had data showing that they are indeed safe and effective), but they may not be. Also, interactions with medications you take for other conditions may occur, and there is no way of knowing this 100%. I would advise caution.
Additionally, be aware that there are a great many products out there offering "male enhancement" or "improved sexual performance". None of these products are regulated by the fda, and none have shown any data proving their safety or efficacy. Despite this, many of the companies manufacturing these products make a great deal of money. I think a good rule of thumb is, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. ...Read more

What would be a good jogging pace for a 56 yr old man looking for cardiovascular health benefits? And how many miles per day?
Highly variable: Pace and distance are highly variable among runners, depending on their experience level, goals, desire, prior injuries/orthopedic conditions and conditioning level. I would recommend you start gradually, perhaps at a pace of 9-11 minutes per mile and 1-3 miles on non-consecutive days. You can increase your distance 10-20%/week and consider a goal of decreasing your pace/mile by 30 seconds/month. ...Read more
