Pain? Yes. Red? No.: Morton's neuroma are affiliated with a "pins and needles" sensation of pain, usually between the toes but occasionally extending to the toes. Wore shoes tight on little toe for 4 wks. 3mths of toe and outside edge painful, hypersensitive. Can't tolerate touch. Neuroma? Stress f? Injection?
Evaluate & Treat.: It sounds like the nerve has been traumatized by the excessive pressure. I don't think that it is as bad as a neuroma, but a severe neuritis is entirely possible. There could be an issue with the bone, so an x-ray would be warranted. I would think that three months should have allowed the condition to at least partially resolve.
