Breastfeeding?: If you at breastfeeding it is common for you to have irregular periods or spotting between periods until a few months after your child weans. I usually advise my patients that they can expect about 6 months to a year of odd periods after birth. If you are otherwise healthy and your physical exam and PAP at normal I wouldn't worry too much. Yes: You are perimenopausal. As such, you are anovulatory or oligo. This is problematic for many women because it becomes difficult to discern normal menses from abnormal. Maybe: If you just had a baby or just stopped birth control pills around the time of your tubal ligation, it could be normal. Check a pregnancy test just to make sure you are not pregnant. Depends: A miscarriage can at time delay ovulation and cause the subsequent cycle to become irregular but it should not cause the periods to become irregular nor it has any affect on rising of the tsh.A miscarriage can indirectly affect fertility due to tubal damage or damage to the endometrial lining .
