Can i cut my bystolic (nebivolol) 10 mg pill in half?

Yes: Absolutely and it will go twice as far provided that 5mg qd is the right dose for you. The other question is whether you are reducing it on your own or this directed by your physician? Please don't reduce on your own unless you've discussed with your md. ...Read more

Recently placed on ramped up dose of bystolic (nebivolol) to 20mg. No problems with 5 or 10mg. Hanover feeling with 20mg pill. Is that a high dosage?

Incomplete data...: Yes, of course. But, it would be wise to re-ask this question with more facts such as what is your blood pressure now; what was it before? How soon or fast did the ramp up to the 20 mg dose happen. But, without your current blood pressure and a bit of history this question is not easy to give a full answer. ...Read more

Comparing bystolic (nebivolol) 5 mg vs 80 mg propranolol. Whic bb is better for BP control, side effect, popularity of usage, and more helpful for cad. Thanks?

1st gen vs 2nd gen: Propranolol is a first generation bb and effective for heart rate control, panic attacks, migraines, angina and blood pressure control. It's very inexpensive. Bystolic (nebivolol) is new and expensive. They share the same potential adverse effects. Neither is a first line BP medicine. There are many better choices than a bb for BP control but both are good for cad. ...Read more

Can you take GNC ripped vitapak for women if you are on bystolic (nebivolol) and digoxin? It has niacin and water pill in it.

Can you take GNC ripped vitapak for women if you are on bystolic (nebivolol) and digoxin? It has niacin and water pill in it.

Not a good idea!: This product has a compendium of some useful ingredients, but mostly at ineffective doses. Heart over stimulation is possible from the "thermogenic blend" that has 200 mg caffeine and may have other harmful heart effects. No diuretic rx is included, but a diuretic effect from caffeine dose would be expected. The added Niacin is at an insignificant dose and not interactive. There are better otc's. ...Read more

What are the effects of drinking alcohol while on bystolic (nebivolol)?

What are the effects of drinking alcohol while on bystolic (nebivolol)?

Nothing good: If you are on a beta blocker, i assume its either for a heart rhythm problem or for hypertension. Alcohol makes both of these conditions worse, as well as having potential drug-drug interactions. While "social" drinking (i.e. No more than 2 standard drinks on an occasion) would not likely have major effects if done very occasionally, more regular or heavier drinking is bad for either condition. ...Read more
