What is the equianalgesic dose when comparing 50mg tramadol to Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride)?
What about 30mg codiene to Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride)?
50mg tramadol to Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride)?: Meperidine (Demerol) 50 mg was superior to tramadol 50 mg for acute pain relief in patients with suspected renal colic when given intravenously. Because many patients in both groups received supplemental meperidine and the response to tramadol alone cannot be predicted, clinicians may want to choose higher doses of meperidine alone or other alternative combinations. ...Read more
Yes but: I would limit use of Flexeril to 1 week as chronic use can cause depression. This is what I was taught at USA medical center in Mobile. This is also what I have seen in 22 years of practice. Robaxin, Norflex (orphenadrine) and Skellaxin are less likely to cause depression. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I take hydrocodone, cyclobenzaprine, amitriptyline, xanax, (alprazolam) and cymbalta. Xanax (alprazolam) as needed, cymbalta brand new - causing nausea. Can I take ondansetron?
Wouldn't recommend: you are already on several drugs which inhibit serotonin reuptake, increasing their levels - amitriptylene, Cymbalta (duloxetine) and cyclobenzaprine all have that potential, and ondansetron does it big time. This can result in the serotonin syndrome which is dangerous and even potentially fatal. All of these drugs also produce sedation. I would talk with your provider and pharmacist about safety of this. ...Read more

5month with meds: I am not familar with tusnel but it sounds like some sort of cough med. Generally meds are avoided that early in life - but if needed are usually dosed by weight. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) should be fine at 5mg/kg/24 /6 (2.2lbs per kg) and the liquid is 12.5mg/teaspoon. Ave wt for a 5 month =8kg (total dose =40mg/6 or a little under 1/2 teaspoon of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) every 6 hours. ...Read more

Inflammatory reactio: The symptoms that you are experiencing can settle down over time, however, you must have rinsed, washed off all the hair bleach products. My son has had a rash from head to toe for 24 hrs and benedril isnt working. Shouls i take him to the hospital because it says he shouldnt have more than 6 doses in 24 hoyrs?
If well, wait: If the child is otherwise well, has not been on medication, is eating and drinking and playing, wait. It most likely is a viral exanthem (rash). Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is useless against viral rashes or viral infections. Is the child itchy or showing signs of an allergic reaction? Those would be uses for Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or other antihistamine. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
10month son rash on tummy round to back had for 2 weeks keeps getting worse gave benadril n tylenol(not detergent or dryer sheets) don't irritate him?
Rash: This sounds like a nonspecific rash that is irritation of the skin. The term is generally "dermatitis" and responds well to a moisturizer and Hydrocortisone 1/2% which is over the counter. 2-3x/day and if there is no improvement you should have someone see the rash. I would stop the Benadryl and tylenol (acetaminophen). ...Read more
