Can BV cause chlamydia? I am uncircumcised and I've had unprotected sex with girlfriend that had PV. We have no other sexual partners.
Not both: Metronidazole will often cure BV (bacterial vaginosis). It is ineffective against chlamydia. For this you will need a different antibiotic, such as azithromycin, doxycycline, eryhromycin, or uncommonly Levofloxacin and ofloxacin. See your clinician for an appropriate prescription. ...Read more

Check pg test.: Since you haven't been using condoms, and if you are not on birth control, then you could be pregnant and you need to get seen today. You could do a pregnancy test but if it is negative, it is worth getting seen and confirming it with a blood test. If you're unable to get pregnant, then you may be having some spotting, & if that lasts for more than a week, get checked. If you have pain, fever-ER! ...Read more

Examine your soap: You need to check and make sure that your underwear is fully rinsed if machine washed as the material can retain dried soap powder or liquid which will reactivate when confronted by a moist vulva. Secondly, make sure that you use only Dove, Ivory or Caress soaps on the vulva as other soaps are too harsh and can cause itching. ...Read more
Here are some...: No test carries 100% accuracy. If tested result is marginal or weak (+) and not correlated well with clinical picture, repeat test for confirmation. One month gf had trich & BV. Got it cleared. Now has chlamydia. Both of us been tested and were neg previous. Have been faithful, false positive?
Hard to say....: If in doubt retest, if positive get treated. It is hard to determine when infection occurred. The accuracy of a test depends on what type of test was done, how specimen was collected and how sensitive / specific the test modality is. It will be good to consult a GYN to guide you with the answers you seek. ...Read more

My last 2 periods only lasted 3 and 2 days each. Normally it's 5. I had chlamydia and BV during this time and was treated. Could this be the reason?
No, yes: Chlamydia often causes discharge and burning with urination. Men and women often have no symptoms of chlamydia, which is why chlamydia is nearing epidemic proportions; all sexually active people should get screened. Chlamydia may have serious complications, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, which can cause abscess and infertility. Bacterial vaginosis causes fishy odor. Both are easily treatable. ...Read more

Bacterial vaginosis and Chlamedia can coexist usually produce no symptoms, or can produce vaginal discharge, abnormal vaginal bleeding, or pelvic infection
diagnosis is by clinical findings and swabs
So I suggest you go to medical facility where you can have swabs done, it is important to discuss contraception, attached leaflet for more information

Test of Cure: You had 3 separate infections, 2 of which were likely sexually transmitted, but the BV is not. Any one of these infections may not clear on the first treatment, and you should be re-evaluated for "test of cure" to see if you need additional treatment, especially if you had another exposure during or after treatment. Or, perhaps the bleeding is your menstruation? ...Read more
