But Apap Caf Tab
Prescribed fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) (butal-acet-caff 50-325-40) says take one a day. Already took one today but excruciating migraine is back. Can i take another one?
Be very careful: I prefer not to use any narcotics or barbiturates with my migraine patients due to risk of tolerance and rebound, which can eventuate in chronic daily headaches, a much more challenging complication. You should discuss fully these risks with your doctor. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Ask your doctor : Each of the listed medications may cause side effects and there is a possibility for drug-drug interaction. Discuss this regime with your prescribing doctor as there may be extenuating circumstances that justify this regimen. Vicodin may lead to tolerance, dependance and addiction. I took tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine 15 mg but my fibroids is so painful can i take 1,000 mg tylenol (acetaminophen) pls!
Tylenol (acetaminophen) dosing: Yes, you can take a 1000mg dose of Tylenol (acetaminophen). However, in any 24 hour span don't exceed 3000mg. Also, since Tylenol (acetaminophen) is metabolized by the liver, avoid alcohol if you are going to be taking larger doses for more than a few days. Then talk to OB/GYN about other options for pain control with your fibroids. ...Read more
I'm taking Oxycodone HCL5 MG for pain, ZolipidemTart ER 12.5 MG for sleep, and Clonazpam 0.5 MG for anxiety. I can't sleep no matter when i take them?
Addiction, tolerance: Hi. I'm not preaching at you, but those are 3 controlled substances, all of which are potentially addicting, and all of which can induce tolerance. And if I had to guess, I'd guess you have a low pain threshold and an addictive personality. Might I suggest you worry less about your sleep and more about your chemical dependency. Again, not preaching, just wishing you good health. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Hello, I've taken 12 codeine pills, each one has 15mg codeine, 23mg caffeine and 400mg paracetamol. Should i be worried?
Concerned: Watch closely for signs described here: http://www.drug-overdose.com/codeine.htm Also - the thing I'd urge you to 'worry' about is being careless about what you swallow. Don't take more than the max dose of anything if you want to live and be well. It's just a foolish thing to do. Take this seriously, please. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I took 800 mg ibuprofen at 10:30 pm then extra streath tylonal 500 mg six hours.Later will i be okay?
Yes: This is well within the recommended dose guidelines for the medications. Both differ in the way the body disposes of the medication. The Ibuprofen exits primarily through the kidneys and the tylenol (acetaminophen) through the liver. There is no risk in stacking these different medications but i usually recommend folks use one or the other. ...Read more

I had tooth surgery?
6yrs Vicodin 5/325. I take 1/2tab q 2 hrs. Wether pain or not. NEVER exceed more than 3 1/2 tabs qday. BUT does this mean I'm addicted?
Drug attenuation: I do not know that you can be considered an addict at this point with the info you provided. Taking ANY narcotic when you do not have pain is a mistake and sets you up for drug side effects and perhaps addiction. A physician prescribing narcotics to you if he/she knows how you are taking med would +/- be on thin ice! 3 1/2 Vicodin 5 is not a huge dose, but!! U need to wean off--see ur Doctor. ...Read more
Maybe...: If a person had no problems taking Mucinex DM in the past, and she had no problems taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) in the past, then she should be fine this time taking both medications (because the two medications have different ingredients) either together or apart... as along as she is not taking too much of either medicine than she should take in one day. ...Read more

Is taking 10 mg vicodan 3 x day.klonopin at nite to sleep. Hydroxyzine for interstitial cystitis. Imitrex (sumatriptan) for migraines too much? I have fibromyalgia
Impossible to say: If the 30 mg of hydrocodone a day is for fibromyalgia, then I would say its too much of the wrong drug. If it is for the hip fracture, and you are within a few weeks of the injury, it may be appropriate. Fibromyalgia is best treated with appropriate exercise and the use of both antidepressants and anticonvulsants. You aren't on anything to prevent migraine. Discuss with your doctor. ...Read more
