See answer: You may have a leaky valve (lower esophageal sphincter) triggered by caffeine, coffee, smoking, etc. However, as you notice this occurs even when not eating/drinking and feeling of a bubble in your chest, there's a possibility of a hiatal hernia. If so, she needs to see a GI specialist. Heart burns can be caused by many sources including acid reflux, gastritis, and ulcer. Acid reflux: Your symptoms are typical of gerd (gastroesophageal reflux disease). There are many treatments. Avoid alcohol and tobacco. Don't eat or drink within 60 minutes of bedtime. You drink too much: Limit the amt of drinking, and the problem will no longer be there.

The yellowish color is just from the stomach contents.

Yes, but: GERD can cause left sided pain, but not pain with movement which sounds muscular.
