Had an HSG done 2 weeks ago on pyridium & bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) still having pain/burning when urinating no infection. Whats happening do I need 2 see an urologist?
Yes: You stae you are on antibiotics but hasve no infection yet it sound kike you are having symptoms of either cystitis and/or urethritis. Vaginal discharge: Colored vaginal discharge (yellow, green, tan, beige, etc) usually means infection. Yeast is possible and itching, irritation and burning during sex are typical for yeast. However, yeast usually causes scant discharge, not colored. Gonorrhea, chlamydia or trichomonas are possible if at risk for STI. I took Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) to treat UTI for three days. I am worse. Now have Vomiting, nausea, cramps, burning urination, fever, and low temps of 96.4. What could this be? Could it be a kidney infection?
Worsening UTI: Yes, these could be signs of a kidney infection, or a bladder infection that is not sensitive to Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). The prescribing doctor needs to hear about this immediately, because someone who is vomiting cannot keep down further meds.
