Abdominal pain: There are various possibilities causing abdominal pain in that area.The most common:acid reflux, gastritis, indigestion.There are other not so common causes, but to beat the most common usually a low fat, irritant free diet( caffeine, sauces, tomato, mint, spicy food) helps with symptoms. Possible PUD?: There are a lot of possibilities, but your description of burning stomach pain raises the probability of gastritis ; ulcers. Stop any non-prescribed nsaid's (aspiriin, advil, aleve, (naproxen) motrin, etc.) ; start an otc acid reducer (like Prilosec otc, Prevacid 24hr).
