Abdomen pain ddx: It could be related to your ovary; constipation; appendix; colon; or something less worrisome like a pulled muscle. You'd be a little young for diverticular problem and you'd be pretty sick if it were bowel obstruction. I'd be more worried if you were having fevers or vomiting. ...Read more

Women are mystery: Left pelvic pain in women is non-specific. This could be gynecologic such as an ovarian cyst, endometriosis, salpingitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. This could be related to the colon such as diverticulitis. Whether pregnant or not makes a difference. Always have stabbing pains evaluated emergently. Pains when pregnant are even more concerning. Could be a kidney stone. Seek evaluation. ...Read more

NO It Does not: If a child is having Abdominal pain and Diarrhea , Acute Enteritis from something he/she ate caused it. It can be usually uncooked meat, vegetables or contamination from not properly washed produce. Very rarely from A=Oat meal though. Rx with Clear liquid diet, and BRAT diet for 2-3 days.
